GSN leaderboards

Anybody here make it on regularly?

never looked at them.

If I had a bot to play some of the actual games, then I could be winning me some prizes and get on the leaderboard but I don't have one

There are botters hitting most of them - I wondered if some might be from here.

How do you know this?

Based on the scores and then calculating the finish times required to hit those scores. Take Catch-21 for example. The top scores for the day are usually between 1900 and 1920. If you start by doing some math, the highest score you can reach (before adding a time bonus) is 1000, but that's mathematically very unlikely - the deck would have to fall *just* right. However, with a good strategy (and some card counting perhaps), 950 (sans time bonus) isn't hard to hit. So if a score of 1913 had a base score of 950 and a time bonus of 963. To get that time bonus, you'd have to complete the game in 11 seconds. Just to see if that was possible, I tried burning through an entire deck by dumping every single card immediately onto the discard pile. It took 10 seconds to get to the bottom. So that means the best scores are making 52 card-pile decisions in 1 effective second. (And I even left out the tiny flash delays that occur when you hit black jacks & 21s.)

I'm not pissed or annoyed about it - quite the contrary. I'm rather impressed by some of the programming skills.

gsn doesnt care about the botters, tons of people have complained on their forums

yes , i play legit and make top 1-10 on a certain game everyday
