Hi TC. what are your thoughts on the Park 51, formerly Cordoba House, Muslim community center -- as most of you have probably heard it, the "Ground Zero Mosque"?

Before you post some absurd, Fox News-recycled opinion, please read through the proposed plan and formulate an idea for yourself.

People still crying over 9/11 should go kill themselves, they should have rebuilt the new towers already. This country was founded on freedom of religion. The mosque type thing should be allowed to be built there.

Keep in mind, I'm not directing my statement to you directly DD, just making a general statement.

I haven't heard or read too much about it, but from what I have gathered....why would anyone care if it was built? Denying them the rights to build it would be like denying xtians the right to build another church down the street. Don't judge an entire religious or ethnic group just based on a group of bad apples....that's like saying all Germans are nazis (again, no disrespect intended, just using it as an example)

Im pretty sure the reason Obama cant explain why he chose his decision was because he is partly Muslim himself. "Barrack Hussein Obama". wrong on so many levels. obama clearly explained his rationale, and he is most certainly not muslim - although it wouldn't make the slightest difference if he were.

it doesn't matter that there are more places to build the "mosque" (note it's a center similar to a YMCA, not solely a mosque), although it does matter that there IS freedom of religion in this country, and that to deny that right would be wholly undemocratic and un-American.

Ever thought for a second that maybe they want to build it BECAUSE of the Muslim extremists that killed so many Americans? Maybe they want to say "Hey, we didn't do it! It's NOT because of our culture and religion that these idiots did what they did...come inside and see for yourself"

Hell, the building isn't even in plain view of ground zero....it's blocks away and around the corner out of view!
