How many potheads do you know who are a total waste of space because they keep talking about legalizing pot?

So, let's say pot is legalized. What does it cost? I bet the cost will be a lot higher than you think so people will still be looking for dealers or growing it themselves (really people, are you THAT desperate? thought it wasn't addictive...huh)

It is a sad world when pot gets so much attention when people are dying, animals are being killed, ecosystems are being demolished.....but oh yea, let's legalize pot - grow up and quickly please
this is a seriously weak non-argument. i'm sure i know of far more alcoholics busy losing their job, beating their wife, or killing people in car crashes than i do destructive potheads.

that cost argument is pure conjecture. what makes you think prices would be higher? i'm not really sure what the argument is -- people would be legally going to drug dealers to get legal drugs? what's the problem with that? and hey, cigs are expensive as fuck and people buy 'em like crazy.

you take away some power from drug cartels, you free up jails, lawyers, and cops for REAL crimes. tax revenue would be a boon for the government. and then there's the libertarian argument where the government is infringing on civil liberties by denying access to an herb.

I'd also like to say I have never in my lifetime seen a normal, successful, college educated person who has wanted to have pot legalized.

This "WAR" on drugs has been a complete fucking fail...all the lives lost and money spent...big FAIL.
IMO..its the drug companies stopping the legalization of marijuana...just think of all the $$$$$$$$$$$ spent by consumers on pain meds...and how much of it could be replaced by using weed...that ANYONE can grow in their house or backyard.
Growing it yourself could still be illegal...
